Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdel-Latif Derian Wednesday called on Lebanese political parties to put aside their differences and serve the interests of the country.Sheikh Abdel-Amir Qabalan, vice president of the Higher Shiite Council, echoed Derian in his own televised speech Wednesday, calling for national unity as the country is set to form a new government following last week's parliamentary elections.Qabalan also touched on the week's carnage in the Gaza Strip, where Israeli forces killed at least 60 Palestinians amid the "Great March of Return" protest that has been ongoing for more than a month.
