The Nassib border crossing between Syria and Jordan was the focus of a meeting between President Michel Aoun and Jordan's King Abdullah Tuesday on the sidelines of the opening of the annual U.N. General Assembly debate.In Tuesday's meeting, Aoun continued his efforts to showcase his initiative that would make Lebanon a permanent center for dialogue among all cultures and civilizations, under the sponsorship of the U.N.Similar to his meeting Monday with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, Aoun informed Abdullah of the upcoming economic development summit to be held in Beirut next January. In another Tuesday meeting, Aoun gathered with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.Political sources close to the presidency say that Aoun will meet with leaders in Armenia that he did not meet with in New York, such as French President Emmanuel Macron.Wednesday evening, Aoun will make another speech at a gathering for Lebanese diaspora.
