The secretariat of the General Confederation of Lebanese Workers met Monday morning to decide on what action to take in response to lewd comments recently made by the union's disgraced leader, Bechara Asmar.Deputy head of the GCLW Hasan Fakih told local news channel MTV that the union's 12-member secretariat would make public its decision "shortly". Fakih reiterated the secretariat's position on Asmar's comments, describing them as "reprehensible" and "unacceptable," whether they were meant in jest or seriously.
