Protesters at the "Ring Bridge" started gathering in large numbers Sunday afternoon. They came together after briefly losing the large stretch of tarmac to security forces. Continuing to block the "Ring Bridge" was seen as vital in the now-13 day uprising that aims to cripple the country to exert pressure on the government.
Hundreds had gathered at the "Ring Bridge" Sunday evening, some bringing couches, carpets, benches, a refrigerator and a flat-screen television, arranged to look like a living room. The "Ring Bridge" was put up for rent on Airbnb, advertised as the "House of the People," fit with 50 bedrooms at a cost of $0 per night -- 20 percent off for the first three guests.
Karine said she had been searching for work for about five months but had not been successful. She recounted having to try to go to influential people to have a chance of finding a job.
As the sun rose, a man selling coffee arrived, music from the drum circle picked up again and the group of around 100 protesters began to stir.
