BEIRUT: Caretaker Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui escaped the anger of a rhinoceros after he leaned on it thinking it was a rock, An-Nahar reported in an article published Friday.

According to the local daily, Sehnaoui was on a hunting trip in Africa with a group of friends including Caretaker Minister of State Marwan Kheireddine when they decided to take a break after a walk.

Sehnaoui leaned on the rhinoceros after mistaking it for a rock, prompting the animal to jerk. The minister then ran away while his friends attempted to keep the rhinoceros back with sticks.

Kheireddine commented on the story on Twitter Friday evening, saying “OMG! Very creative minds! We did go to Africa a long time ago and have [sic] a small incident; nothing like what was published!”
