The banking sector is one of the most important elements contributing to social stability and cohesion in the country. Lebanon's central bank guarantees the sustainability of this sector and its resilience in the face of economic, political, national, regional and global challenges. The banking sector has been an assurance of socio-economic stability despite an adverse regional and national climate that has affected economic growthAlthough the path of all citizens toward financial integration is still relatively long, the banking infrastructure is able to develop and adapt toward greater financial inclusion. The approach adopted by Lebanon's Central Bank in the process of managing financial policies, based on providing means of immunity in the face of local and global geopolitical and economic challenges, has proved successful in protecting monetary and financial stability despite poor economic growth for extended periods of time, as well as political volatility. However, for the last 25 years, Lebanon has been able to preserve its financial stability through repeated regional and national economic and political shocks and challenges.A stronger integration of the banking sector in security policy is a promising approach that is worth developing.
