The Lebanese Basketball League final series between Riyadi and Sagesse was suspended Friday after tempers frayed in Ghazir midway through the third quarter while Riyadi were leading by 10 points. Riyadi, leading the series 3-2, were on the verge of wrapping up the title before farcical scenes descended on the court when Riyadi's vice president Tamam Jaroudi, protesting at the officiating table, exchanged words with Sagesse's player Robert Bou Dagher, leading to bottles being hurled in numbers from the packed Ghazir crowd. The game was then halted with both club officials exchanging accusations, with Sagesse's officials blaming Riyadi player Chris Daniels for inciting the fans, while Riyadi blamed their counterparts of finding excuses to stop the game. The 2013-014 final series was also interrupted for almost three weeks following a mass brawl in Ghazir between Riyadi players and Sagesse fans, before the series was completed with Riyadi winning 4-2 .
